1\/5 Arles<\/h2>\n

Everyone agrees that Arles is a very pleasant city to visit.<\/p>\n

Roman city, Arles is rich in Roman monuments but also in museums. Do not miss the departmental museum of ancient Arles<\/a> and its splendid collections.<\/p>\n

Arles has always attracted artists, and in particular Picasso and Van Gogh, to whom a museum<\/a> is dedicated in the city.<\/p>\n

Since 1970, Arles has also been passionate about photography. Every year from July to September, Arles hosts the Rencontres d’Arles<\/a>, a festival offering more than forty exhibitions in the city’s emblematic places.<\/p>\n

Today, it is the art collector Maja Hoffmann who sets her sights on Arles. Maja Hoffmann inaugurated the Luma tower<\/a> in 2021. Signed Frank Gehry and installed on the former SNCF workshops, this new exceptional place aims to support artistic creation in the fields of visual arts, photography, publishing, documentary films and multimedia.<\/p>\n

If you are looking for a restaurant in Arles, the Wauxhall<\/a> is the place to go! You will be able to taste there, in a very pleasant setting, regional dishes and Aubrac beef from the personal breeding of the owners of the restaurant. A delight!<\/p>\n

Move differently<\/strong>
\nIf you are planning to spend the day in Arles and are staying at Les Airis, take the train! One leaves every hour from Avignon station (every 30 minutes at peak times) for a journey of 17 minutes (for direct) to 25 minutes instead of 45 minutes by car. The ticket costs 8 euros.<\/p>\n

2\/5 Camargue<\/h2>\n

Camargue is a wild land visited by migratory birds and inhabited by pink flamingos, bulls and other horses.<\/p>\n

It is discovered as close as possible to nature, through walks, horseback riding, cycling or boating.<\/p>\n

3\/5 Saintes-Marie-de-la-Mer<\/h2>\n

Saintes-Marie-de-la-mer is an exceptional seaside resort. Inhabited by humans since the 4th century, it is distinguished from the others by its architectural and cultural heritage.<\/p>\n

Not to be missed: the abrivado festival. Every year on November 11, more than 200 herdsmen and 1000 horses from all over Provence land on the village beaches. Their mission is to escort the loose bulls to the arenas. The show is impressive!<\/p>\n

4\/5 Camargue natural beaches<\/h2>\n

The most beautiful beaches on the Mediterranean coast are in the Camargue. Among the ponds and salt marshes, far from the seaside resorts, they are well preserved and seem to stretch on endlessly.<\/p>\n

We love going to Pi\u00e9manson beach between September and November, exploring the large stretches of sand, blending into nature, confronting the elements…<\/p>\n

5\/5 Wine of Camargue<\/h2>\n

As in the Alpilles, very good wines are produced in the Camargue, most of them organically. We recommend!<\/p>\n
