In just 1h12 drive from Les Airis holiday rental, you have the opportunity to visit 4 exceptional sites which are among the most beautiful in France, and yet very different from each other.
As the name suggests, Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a city on the water, a little Venice. It is good to walk along its canals, let yourself be distracted by a duck, a paddle wheel, a pretty bridge… And there are very good restaurants.
Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is also known and recognized for its nearly 300 antique dealers.
is home to a magnificent spectacle of nature. To be able to observe it, you have to go up along the Sorgue from the village to the place where the river has its source. The walk is very pleasant, surrounded by small wooded mountains and deafened by the sound of water.
Once arrived at the foot of a steep 230m cliff, in the hollow of a closed valley, the water springs from an immense underground network. The urgency is particularly spectacular after the autumn and spring rains.
This old village
perched on a rock in the Lubéron Regional Natural Park offers splendid views of the valley and the Lubéron mountains.
Its specific architecture all in freestone, its small cobbled streets, its castle and its church are of rare beauty.
The village of Roussillon is located in the heart of the largest ocher deposit in the world. It sits atop magnificent red, yellow and brown cliffs whose tones contrast with the green of the pine forest they overlook.
Access to the ocher trail is chargeable since a few years and is subject to variable hours. Before planning your visit, we advise you to check the schedules on the municipality’s website.
