In less than an hour, visit two exceptional places and discover a unique landscape in Provence, ideal for strolling or hiking, which has inspired many artists and in particular Vincent Van Gogh.

1/3 Saint-Rémy-de-Provence

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is located in the heart of the Alpilles. Its historical center has a lot of charm. We love strolling through its old narrow streets, admiring its beautiful residences and old fountains, visiting its elegant boutiques… The shaded squares hide good restaurants with terraces, where we love having lunch or dinner.

Vincent Van Gogh made more than 150 paintings of Saint-Rémy-de-Provence and its surroundings.

The village is also home to one of the oldest archaeological sites, the remains of Glanum, a Gallic oppidum erected 1000 years BC around a sacred spring, and bathed in Greek and then Roman influences.

Saint-Rémy-de-Provence is also a good starting point for hiking or doing the Alpilles wine route.

2/3 Baux-de-Provence

Baux-de-Provence is located on a rocky plateau 245m high. It overlooks exceptional landscapes over Arles, the Camargue and the Alpilles and offers breathtaking panoramas.

The village has an exceptional historical heritage, including a medieval castle whose ruins are worth visiting, and has several internationally renowned restaurants.

At the foot of the village, you will find the Cathedral of the Image, old quarries converted into a cultural site. Don’t miss the audiovisual show projected on the rock walls of the place, it’s breathtaking!

3/3 Wine in the Alpilles

For wine lovers, doing the wine route is an excellent way to discover the magnificent landscapes of the Alpilles, its beautiful villages and its beautiful estates. Almost entirely organic, the Alpilles vineyard is one of our favorites!
